What exactly does New Health by Gayle do?
I work with busy professionals to build healthy practices into their overworked, overscheduled, personal and professional lives, thus creating an environment where they can FINALLY hit their health goals.

 

Why should I work with you?
If you are someone who has tried in the past to lose weight, exercise more, be more energetic on the weekends all while juggling your career, your children, your partner – and failed – then you need to try this.

 

I get you – I was one of you. I have found a holistic approach that finally makes sense – and gets results.

 

What is “holistic”?
Don’t let it scare you – the definition of “holistic” is “emphasizing the organic or functional relation between the parts and the whole.” It’s thinking about things in their totality (or wholly), vs. the individual parts. In other words, all aspects of your life are connected, and make a difference in your health. It’s not just diet or just exercise – it’s being happy and productive in the work you do, the relationships you develop, and your overall health – and if one of these is not as healthy as the others, it throws the whole thing off course. Thinking holistically, you can create a situation where your goals are met AND maintained – because you are treating the whole you, not just your component parts.

 

How do I get started?
So, the good news is, you have already started! You are here, on this site, reading as much as you can about New Health by Gayle!

 

If you’d like to set and action your health goals, the first step is a Strategic Health Consultation. This is free! It’s a 45-minute phone call where we’ll talk about your health, past, present, and vision for the future. This will determine the best place to start your change journey.

 

If we decide to work together, we’ll set up a day and time to begin your sessions. You’ll receive a welcome packet from me that will include extensive program information. We’ll then connect virtually, so there is no traveling or office visits. You’ll just need a quiet, comfortable location. I think that connecting virtually helps our process – it is easier for clients to fit into their busy schedules, it does not require additional commute time, and it allows them to talk in the comfort of their own surroundings.

Will this take a lot of my time?
Well, your health is worth your time! And, if we’re really good at this, it will only help you use the time you have more efficiently! But, to answer the question, no. We will connect 2X/month over the phone, and the rest is done by emails, teleconferences, and other mechanisms that allow you to fit this into your schedule.

 

You only have 24 hours in a day – you’ll learn how to use them in a way that meets your goals!

Is this different from the Health Coaching offerings I have through my Health Benefits?
YES! While health care has come a long way to recognize the power (and cost effectiveness) of ‘proactive’ health management vs. ‘reactive’ health management, broad scale wellness coaching programs are still focused on the component parts, not the whole being. They are not holistic. They don’t talk to you about your work, your family life – the real issues you are struggling with in relation to your health.

 

And, let’s be honest, wouldn’t you much rather talk to someone who knows you and understands your personal needs on a first name basis – not just hope that you get a good counselor on the other end of the 1-800 line!

 

Managing your health is the most important thing you can do for yourself – don’t leave it in the hands of broad based medical benefit plans!

 

Can I work with you after the program is over?
The program isn’t over until you want it to be over! At the end of our first scheduled program together, we’ll take some time to discuss what’s next, and how best I can help.
